"Hare Krishna Society is dedicated to following His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of the Hare Krishna Movement also known as the Krishna Consciousness Movement (KCON), his original, pure teachings and instructions, as detailed in his original unedited, unrevised books, conversations, letters and lectures (vani).
The Church of Ritvik paper has been received by Hare Krishna Society. Hare Krishna Society has not responded officially to the paper by Rocana dasa. The Brahminical Council of the society deems that it would not be appropriate to respond to the numerous innuendoes, false allegations, exaggerations, distortions, outright fabrications, personal accusations and falsehoods, straw man arguments, argumentum ad hominem techniques, arddha kukkuti nyaya (half logic) techniques, articulated by the author of the Church of Ritvik, Rocana dasa.
While the author of the Church of Ritvik claims his paper to be a philosophical position paper or essay on the issue of initiations, the author does not have a clear conclusion, i.e., what arrangement did Srila Prabhupada make or order for initiations, for his followers and students, particularly at that time when he would not longer be physically with us, and in context of His expectations and instructions for the management of his society.
The author’s substantial misrepresentations of the statements, position papers, and philosophical position of the Hare Krishna Society, IRM, and other devotees and followers of Srila Prabhupada, in regards to this particular issue, are self-evident. The Brahminical council of the Hare Krishna Society has had a long standing policy of not engaging in public disputations or so-called debates dealing with innuendoes, fabrications and personal attacks.
Many devotees from the Hare Krishna Society, IRM/IRG and other Prabhupada Anugas have written numerous papers, essays, articles, magazines clearly articulating and explaining Srila Prabhupada’s desire and final order with regards to how initiations should be conducted in his movement for the aftermath of his eventual physical departure, and how this was meant to work within the institution which he established. We do not feel we have to re-invent the wheel, since we believe that the explanations in the above-referenced papers and articles are sufficiently clear as to His Divine Grace’s order in that connection.
