The following is a Study Guide for the Bhagavad Gita As It Is 1972 Edition which was developed by some of the disciples and followers of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. This is a definitive guide that takes the student through the Bhagavad-gita step by step and first was formulated by Srila Prabhupada.
This Study Guide begins with the full Introduction to the Bhagavad-gita As It Is, and then proceeds with chapter by chapter analysis, Q & A etc. This arrived this morning as a Word Doc and required some slight editing to upload it as a post.
A few additional historical notes regarding the compilation of this attached bhagavd gita study guide:
Srila Prabhupada’s original Bhagavad-Gita study guide was originally compiled by Subhadanda dasa BH.S Editor Bhaktivedanta Book Trust. Hasti Gopala dasa was sent the original book by Yasodanandan dasa. There were no longer any copies left to be distributed by the BBT at the time. The copy sent was in sordid shape but all of the pages were there. Hasti Gopala dasa and Lady Radha Govinda Swami who was living in Buffalo USA at the time spent 3 to 4 months recopying the book from scans that Hasti Gopala dasa made of the book. Those scans had to have odd characters removed that had nothing to do with the text. This was a joint effort over many months. This study guide is an exact replica of the original book. Nothing has been changed. Hasti Gopala dasa still lives in Toronto, Canada.
