ADULTERATING SRILA PRABHUPADA’S QUOTES THAT SAY PRASADAM AS “PLANT-BASED”:

Original Quote: Simply by liberal distribution of prasāda and saṅkīrtana, the whole world can become peaceful and prosperous. [Srimad Bhagavatam, 4.12.10 Purport]

ISKCON FFL’S MANUFACTURED QUOTE: (https://ffl.org/about-us/mission/prabhupada/)

“By the liberal distribution of prasadam (pure plant-based food) and sankirtan (congregational chanting of the holy name), the whole world can become peaceful and prosperous.”
– Srila Prabhupada

Notice how they have added “purely plant-based food” to promote their  veganism. They use Srila Prabhupada’s quotes to do all kinds of nonsense here. Where is it written that prasadam is only a plant based food without any milk offering?

Srila Prabhupada’s quotes on cow protection and importance of cow’s milk:

——————————————————————————————————————————–
THE ABOVE ISKCON  LOGO OFNOT MILKIS BASED ON THE AMERICAN DAIRY INDUSTRY’S LOGO OF THE OPOSITE  SLOGAN WHICH SAYS—-GOT MILK ?

SO WHY DO THESE THINGS CONTINUE TO HAPPEN IN ISKCON?
Any common man will tell  you they drink milk, if they can get it. All over the world, people by the billions will continue to drink milk as they all know it is the best food for them and it wont harm them.  They use milk products in so many things they eat. But now the wise fools in Iskcon have told us that their “Prasadam” will no longer contain milk products, but” plant based food.”

I almost feel like it is a total waste of time even writing about this because those that believe in veganism have lost all their  basic common sense. There has been supplied in this article (written by some else) massive quotes given to us by Srila Prabhupada regarding the importance of  milk and protecting the cow due to her importance.

So I guess you either believe in what Srila Prabhupada (and your own common sense) says, or you believe in the latest pie in the sky speculations coming out of iskcon these days. Therefore this article is for those who still want to follow in the footsteps of our Acarya-without changing his words or intentions.

Iskcon food for lifesays…   Here is the opening statement on their website.

Food for Life Global is committed tosolving world hunger by addressing its root cause — inequality. Our strategy is to demonstrate love and respect for all living beings through the liberal distribution of non-violent, plant-based meals prepared with loving intention. It is love and respect in action.
We understand the clear connection of commercial dairy with the wholesale abuse of billions of innocent cows, bull and calves. We do not condone the use of any commercial dairy in any of our projects. All funds collected by donors are exclusively used for vegan ingredients. Donors can be assured that all donations are only used for vegan food distribution and operations.

So despite what Srila Prabhupada says, despite that iskcon in the early days used cow milk bought at the store that came from “un protected cows”, and that Srila Prabhupada himself authrorized this practice, todays Iskcon says this milk is unacceptable and wont be used in their “Prasadam” preparations.

So why this difference in opinions? Why was store bought milk once acceptable and now it is not? Good question, right?

The real reason for all our sufferings, including hunger, is lack of Krsna Consciousness, not some Iskcon contrived- “inequality”. When a rich mans son decides to leave the home of his  wealthy and well meaning father and go it alone out into the streets of the world then he  become a homeless beggar there, and then his life of suffering at once begins. All he has to do to stop this position of suffering/hunger is to recognize his father, as his well wishing father and return home, and by this action his hunger and poverty  problems are stopped.

We have out back  here on our farm, some very large fields of tall grass and weeds, simply because they have not been cut yet by the local farmer. If I walk out thru  there, you will beable to see not me, but only my path thru the tall grass and weeds. If you want to follow me, then you cant wait, but have to at once start out and follow the path I have chalked out.
If we dont continue to walk in the actual the footprints of Srila Prabhupada-then he will be lost to us. If we think we can take some shortcuts or we know a better path than he, he will also be lost to us.
This is what it means to follow in the footsteps of the great Acaryas without adulteration or speculation.
There is a nice verse in SB which states…
SB 4.22-When onedeviates from his originalconsciousness, he loses the capacity to remember his previous position or recognize his present one. When remembrance is lost, all knowledge acquired is based on a false foundation. When this occurs, learned scholars consider that the soul is lost.

Dayānanda:“Neglecting the orders of the spiritual master.” At first we must accept a spiritual master and then we must become initiated by the spiritual master. So to neglect the orders of…
Prabhupāda: Unless one is prepared that “I am accepting somebody as my spiritual master. I must accept whatever he says,” if there is any doubt, that “I cannot accept his words verbatim,”then one should not accept him as spiritual master. That is hypocrisy.
So when devotees deviate in so many ways like those in Iskcon presently do,, then how will they ever be able to find the path back to Godhead chalked out by Srila Prabhupada? It becomes an impossible task. And then their spiritual lives are ruined.

Now, how to understand that which is beyond our conception? The scriptures says like this, acintyaḥkhaluyebhāvāna tāṁs tarkeṇayojayet: “Anything which is beyond our conception, beyond our reasoning power, beyond our approach of the material senses, such things we should not try to have conception simply by arguments.” So in the Vedic injunction it is said that tarkaḥ apratiṣṭha: “By… What should be the… What should be our real understanding, that we cannot establish simply by argument.” Tarkaḥapratiṣṭhaḥ smṛtayo vibhinnāḥ: [Cc. Madhya17.186]“If we consult different scriptures, then we’ll find that one scripture is speaking something, another scripture is speaking something else.”Just like cow-killing. Take, take it for example. The Hindus, they say that cow-killing is irreligious. The Muhammadans say, “No, cow-killing is religious.” There is some adjustment, but… Now, in the scripture I see that the cow-killing, in some scriptures it is said that cow-killing is irreligious, and another scripture says that cow-killing is religious. So which of them I shall accept? This is ni… This is all right, or that is all right? So therefore it is said that smṛtayo vibhinnāḥ. If you consult different scriptures, you’ll find different contradictory statements. Your scripture may be different from my scripture. And nāsau munir yasyamataṁnabhinnam. If you consult philosophers, you’ll find one philosopher is differing from another philosopher. A big philosopher means who has cut down other philosophers and put up his own theory, “This is true.” This is going on. So tarko ‘pratiṣṭhaḥ smṛtayo vibhinnā nāsau munir yasyamataṁnabhinnam. Then how to conclude what is the right path? I cannot establish it by my imperfect arguments. I cannot consult even the scriptures. Neither I can take real instruction from different philosophers. Then what, what is the way of having the real thing? So it says that dharmasyatattvaṁnihitaṁguhāyām: “The truth of religiosity is very confidential, very secret.” So how to know it? Mahājano yenagataḥsapanthāḥ: [Cc. Madhya17.186]“We have simply to see that great personalities, as they have taken up, we have to follow. That’s all.” Just like in your Christian religion you may not understand all the Biblical injunctions or you may not have the time, but you’ll simply, if you follow the ideal life of Lord Jesus Christ, then you get the same result.Similarly, the Muhammadans, if they follow the ideal life of Muhammad, Hazrat Muhammad, so they get the result. Mahājano yenagataḥsapanthāḥ [Cc. Madhya17.186]. Just like in a unknown pathin a village, especially when there is a field… Now, inin the city, you can know that “I have come so far” because the streets are numbered and the, you have got the location and there are some symptoms, this house or that house. But in the country, everything, every, every place is of the same similar nature, the same jungle, the same field, the same grass. We do not know where I am going.Or in the sea. Or in the sea. I have got experience. Have you ever traveled in the sea? No. But when I was coming from India, so everywhere I see a round only, round of water. I do not know which way the ship is proceeding. You see? But they have got a chart. They have got a chart. By latitude, longitude, by time and by chart, they are calculating. Now, I was asking the Captain, “Where we have come?” He was saying, in the Mediterranean Sea, “Oh, we are so many miles from Italy. We are so many miles from…” Like this. “Tunisia. Now we are coming to Gibraltar.” Like this. But I was seeing all vast of water only. I was seeing, “Just after ten miles I shall reach,” but it never reaches. So then how, what are these charts? The charts are that experienced sailors, they have made the charts. The captain was also consulting that chart because it was made by experienced sailors. That is nothing. So similarly in calculating in which way we have to find out our salvation is to follow such liberated souls.
