Letter to Srila Prabhupada, by Haripada dasa
With love and confidence I share my Vyasa Puja letter to Srila Prabhupada Mahasaya.
All the devotees who serve and love Srila Prabhupada write a letter called the Vyasa Puja letter, Vyasadeva is a literary incarnation of God or Krishna, He wrote all the Vedic literature, The Bhagavad-gita, The Srimad-bhagavatam, The Mahabharata etc, and our spiritual master’s birthday is called Vyasa Puja day, on this day the spiritual master is glorified and thanked for all his mercy, all this spiritual knowledge given to us by Vyasadeva is transmitted from the guru to the disciple through the chain of disciplic succession, all these truths are eternal and never change, that’s why Srila Prabhupada always said that the philosophy of Krishna consciousness is very easy, because we don’t have to invent anything, we just have than to repeat what the previous spiritual masters said.
Thanks to Srila Prabhupada we have found the Truth and the Truth will set you free. Thanks to Srila Prabhupada we have come out of ignorance, which is the cause of all suffering. Thanks to Srila Prabhupada we have understood the purpose of human life, to understand and love God or Krishna, and since there is only God or Krishna and His energies, by doing this in a natural way one loves everyone and everything. Thanks to Srila Prabhupada we have understood that this material world is full of envy and is no place for a gentleman, here there are only cheaters and cheated. Thanks to Srila Prabhupada we hope to go back home to God and Krishna and His devotees, and the experience of having been in this material world will be a bad nightmare. Thanks to Srila Prabhupada we have understood that we are not the material body, but eternal spirit souls, eternal loving servants of God or Krishna and His devotees. Thanks to Srila Prabhupada we are now no longer a rudderless ship, now Srila Prabhupada is the person we trust and love the most. If Srila Prabupada had not come, what would have become of us?

VYASA PUJA OFFERING TO SRILA PRABHUPADA – 2022 (Niraj)

August 21, 2022 in Articles by Yasoda nandana dasa

All glories to Srila Prabhupāda

You have saved me from going to the darkest regions of hell, which I was destined to suffer on account of my extremely sinful activities. You came at the right time to rescue me. Your Divine Grace saved me from the word jugglery of the speculative scholars and delivered me the sublime essence of the Vedic literatures in a very simple and easy-to-understand language. Srila Prabhupada, this is Your USP – You present the highest knowledge effortlessly without any ostentatious show of scholarship. Though Your Divine Grace is the greatest scholar and the greatest devotee, You never claimed to be so and You have very mercifully associated with the fallen souls in order to deliver them. O Srila Prabhupāda, You are humility personified and a true example of “trnad api sunicena.”

I beg from you to bless me with a small fragment of your humility so that I may progress more on the path shown by you.

Your fallen servant,
Niraj

Srila Prabhupada Vyasapuja 2022

by Gauri dasa pandita dasa.

The Topmost Most Gracious Host

One of the things I remember the most about  Srila Prabhupada is what a great and gracious host he was. He loved sharing Krsna Consciousness with the guests and devotees. A wide range of people came to see His Divine Grace from new and senior devotees to religious and world leaders. From Professor’s to Villager’s; all the guests left Srila Prabhupada’s presence with a feeling of respect and admiration for Him, who treated them so nicely.

Most amazing

Most amazing, by Haripada dasa

Once a great sage asked King Maharaja Yudisthir what is the most amazing thing there is, and the King replied that you see that relatives, friends and other people die, but one thinks that I will never die.
Usually people do not like to talk about death because they are very afraid, it is said that the devotee of God or Krishna experiences God through devotional service and that materialists and atheists experience God at the time of death. I remember a video of Srila Prabhupada speaking with some theologians and Srila Prabhupada telling them that God will come like death, and all his money, his prestige, his family, etc. It will be taken away, do you understand God now? God or Krishna says in the Bhagavat gita that I am death, I remember that in the fourth song of Srimad Bhagavatam to Maharaja Dhruva a plane from the spiritual world came for him and taking advantage that the personification of death came, he put his feet on the head of death to get on the plane, so until death he takes pleasure in serving the devotee of God or Krishna.

It is very interesting that the personification of death is represented as a skeleton with a harvest, that is to remind us that what you sow, harvest, in other words each person is the architect of his destiny, each one has what he deserves. , and God or Krishna also says that this material world is a place of suffering and temporary, someone can argue that I have a lot of money, women, material enjoyment, yachts, etc., that you have because you deserve it because surely in your life In the past you did many pious activities, but do not forget that everything is temporary. God or Krishna has created everything, therefore everything belongs to God or Krishna, as Srila Prabhupada always said that a person is honest and honest when he uses everything to serve God or Krishna and His devotees.

How to become a nonsense-easily–SP explains

August 16, 2022 in Articles by Damaghosa dasa

Dec 14 1972 letter Tusta krsna
We advise everyone to address one another as Prabhu. Prabhu means master, so how the master should be disobeyed? Others, they are also pure devotees. All of my disciples are pure devotees. Anyone sincerely serving the spiritual master is a pure devotee, it may be Siddhasvarupa or others, a-Siddhasvarupa. This must be very clearly stated. It is not only that your Siddhasvarupa is a pure devotee and not others. Do not try to make a faction. Siddhasvarupa is a good soul. But others should not be misled. Anyone who is surrendered to the spiritual master is a pure devotee, it doesn’t matter if Siddhasvarupa or non-Siddhasvarupa. Amongst ourselves one should respect others as Prabhu, master, one another. As soon as we distinguish here is a pure devotee, here is a non-pure devotee, that means I am a nonsense. Why you only want to be in the spiritual sky with Siddhasvarupa? Why not all? If Siddhasvarupa can go, why not everyone? Siddhasvarupa will go, you will go, Syamasundara will go, all others will go. We will have another ISKCON there. Of course, Mr. Nair must stay.

Vaisnava behavior explained by Srila Prabhupada

Vaisnava Behavior explained by SP

Hare Krsna-Below We will find some very interesting points about personal behavior for a Vaisnava which are definitely applicable to all of us in this age of quarrel and hypocrisy.
Jan 7 1976
My dear Bhakta Ralph
Please accept my blessings. I beg to thank you letter, undated.
There is no reason why you cannot associate with any of my disciples, providing that they adhere to our principles. As long as Siddha Svarupa Maharaja and Tusta Krishna Maharaja act as sannyasis, ie. dress in dhoti, keep shave headed with sikha, follow strictly the rules and regulations and preach from my books, I have no objection. Sometimes there will be a little misunderstanding between Godbrothers, that is even going on amongst liberated soulsWhat is important is that everyone must engage in Krishna’s service under the direction of the spiritual master.
I hope this meets you well. Your ever well-wisher,
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
72-08-26 letter
My Dear Gaurasundara,
Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated August 20, 1972, and I am quite surprised to read it. This does not sound like you. All along I have been discouraged in every way by my Godbrothers, but still I have stuck to my duty, keeping my Spiritual Master always in front. Because there is some fighting or bickering amongst us, that does not mean that I should go away. If I have understood the order of my Spiritual Master rightly, then I must perform my duty under any circumstances and never one think of going away under disgust. I have appointed you to be my GBC representative in South America because I think that you are very much responsible and capable to do it, and I am very fond of you and your good wife Govinda dasi for helping me all along. So do not be disturbed or worried by some small thing, rumor, or misunderstanding. There is no plot amongst our so-called big men against you or Siddha-swarup Ananda. That is childish.
Where have you got this idea to retire and simply translate books? That is not in our line. My Spiritual Master has given me the instruction to spread this movement all over the world and you are my good disciples, are helping me do this. Without your good help I could not have done anything, so practically you can take all the credit for spreading this Krsna Consciousness movement and fulfilling the prophecy of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. If there is some incident and I claim that no one is cooperating with me or no one will work with me, that is my defect, not theirs. The Vaisnava devotee must think like this. We should not find fault with others and criticize and go away, that is not the Vaisnava way.Better we should always be willing to offer all respects to others and consider them as our superiors always.
Meanwhile, hoping this meets you in good health,

(Note-one idea here is that SP was just starting his movement and did not want the devotees to fight with each other and go away. And at that time, things were pretty much going the way SP wanted. There was no unauthorized gurus on such a large scale like we have today. Also going away meant at that time-from iskcon. Today iskcon itself is so far gone away, it is hard to remain there and remain sane. But today we have all the books and instructions so that we don’t need to “go away” Going away means leaving Krsna Consciousness altogether and all good devotee association.)
